Hailing from the Northern New South Wales beaches of Nambucca Heads, Michael Kelly has always had a passion for beauty, even at a young age. A natural born desire to work in an industry where he could be authentic and expressive culminated in his move to Sydney to commence what would become an unparalleled career.

Jess Furlan

With a creative edge and global flair, Jessica Furlan is an inspired hairstylist. Renowned for her creative and collaborative approach, she is the personal Australian stylist to Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin when in Australia and collaborated with the Oscar winning duo on hair direction for the 2014 stage production of Strictly Ballroom. She also looks after Edwina McCann, Vogue Australia Editor, and was recently called upon to cut Mel Gibson’s hair.
Jessica practically grew up in a salon. She lived and worked in London and Europe for seven years after completing her apprenticeship at the iconic Darlinghurst Salon, Synergy under legendary director Sharon Maher. She then honed her skills abroad at Vidal Sassoon Academy Bond Street and Tommyguns Salon Shoreditch in London.
It was in the UK where she built an active affinity with the music festival scene resulting in styling the onstage looks of many leading musicians including Brandon Flowers from The Killers, Bryan Ferry, BRMC and Sixto Rodrigeuz.
Whilst overseas, she also regularly worked on leading fashion shows in London, Paris and Milan assisting superstar hairstylist Sam McKnight (working on French Vogue, UK Vogue, Elle and Harper's Bazaar) as well as alongside photographer Peter Lindbergh shooting Milla Jovovich, Kate Bosworth and Kate Moss. Jess has also shot for ID, Dazed and Confused, Show Studios, and ACNE Paper. She has personally style Dasha Zuhkova, Elle Macpherson and Pierce Brosnan.
Upon returning to Australia in 2012 Jessica has built a stellar reputation working at La Boutique for renowned colourist Belinda Jeffrey - for whom she represented in Hair Expo
2013. Her in-demand, effortless and modern style has resulted in many diverse experiences in television, film and fashion editorials.
Jess – whose top tip is to “embrace your natural hair texture” - continues to stay inspired by fashion, film, music, travel, nature and just walking down the street.
“It's the small things,” she says of what keeps her creativity flowing.

Matthew Jones

Matthew joins Edwards And Co as the Internal Educator for Cutting and Styling. He has 15 years industry experience, beginning his career in central QLD before moving to Brisbane where he remained for 13 years. During that time he was a national educator for both Aveda and Redken.
During his time with Redken he travelled across Australia educating at various shows including on the Main Stage at Get Inspired in front of over 600 hundred hairdressers. He was also Director of a multiple shows at Fashion Week including Group Swimwear, The Sunday Sessions, Ginger and Smart and Manning Cartell.
Matthew’s love for hairdressing revolves around creativity and the excitement of the work he creates. He loves building relationships with his clients and hopes to build a platform and give back to the next generations of industry professionals.

Lauren Walker

Lauren was born and raised in Sydney where she first began her career in Makeup artistry. She studied at ACMUSE, and completed cert IV before deciding to do an apprenticeship to pursue hair and makeup in the film industry.
She landed herself a spot in a salon in Double Bay through networking from the MAD MAX movie. She remained there for a year and a half working on various music videos for Sony Music, television shows such as X factor, Australia’s next stop model and photo shoots for celebrities and fashion labels.
Completing her apprenticeship at our Alexandria location Lauren then went on to specialise in styling and hair extensions, from where she was able to cement her spot as first assistant to the Director for MBFWA 3 years running.
With such an impression resume at a young age, Lauren is certainly one to watch in the coming years.

Niko Reyes

Nicolas Reyes originally hailing from Colombia, South America made the move to Australia to further grow within the industry. His passion for hair was evident from an early age, beginning his apprenticeship straight after completing high school. He grasps inspiration from all forms of media and loves researching international trends to blend with his love for creating seamless, natural colour work – making him truly unique.

Niko has assisted back stage a Melbourne Fashion Week and was a finalist for apprentice of the year in 2017. His creativity and drive has allowed him to excel beyond expectations in all fields, which is evident in his large and loyal client base. Niko is certainly an up and comer to watch out for!

Danae Selwood

Danae joins our Alexandria location with over a decades industry experience. Throughout the years she was introduced to session styling/editorial work assisting her mentor and owner of Headcase Hair Jon Pulitano. She remained there for close to 12 years, before moving to NYC, then shortly after to Toronto where she remained for 2 years working alongside Redken ambassadors, furthering her session styling to a new level. While living in Toronto she travelled across to NYC to work on fashion week with her mentor from headcase hair.
Danae’s other achievements include; Harper’s bazaar session stylist competition, Mirror awards (Canada) session stylist of the year (finalist), various editorial shoots with magazines Russh, Karen magazine and Harper’s Bazaar.

Brendon joins our team with 10 years industry experience, working for some of Australia’s best salons along side global industry leaders, which has help build skills as an industry leader himself.

Specialising in styling, cutting and extensions, Brendon has worked at MBFWA and also as an assistant on various magazine editorial shoots.

Brendon is inspired by creating looks for each individual, specifically tailored to their exact needs always with a kind and honest approach.
