Social Media Manager (3 Month Contract role) 


Who are we?

EdwardsAndCo is Australia’s leading hair agency, housing the country’s most innovative and trend-setting hair stylists and makeup artists. Known for creating beautiful colour work, EdwardsAndCo has developed a significant following on social media platforms and has a rapidly expanding eCommerce platform. 

As our Social Media Manager, you will own the social media strategy and execution for EdwardsAndCo, EdwardsAndCo Education and Jaye Haircare, across all platforms. You will be tasked with creating and sharing highly engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest such as posts, stories, IGTV, reels, and guides. 

This is a 3 month contract role which is currently remote due to government restrictions in Sydney and Melbourne. If these restrictions ease prior to the contract end date you will be expected to be able to attend our salons to capture content occasionally. For that reason candidates based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane are encouraged to apply. 


Your day in a nutshell

Working closely with our Marketing, Education and Salon teams to create, curate and repurpose content for all social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest) to drive brand engagement and growth. 

Creating content calendars, scheduling all posts and manually posting content as required, in line with content calendars and timed for peak engagement. 

Reviewing the content library monthly to ensure steady flow of material across all three handles using audience insights to inform strategies. 

Community management – Responding to DM’s in a timely manner, responding to comments and engaging with tagged content. 

Ensuring brand TOV across all platforms

Keeping up to date with all enhancements and innovations on social channels and making recommendations. 


About you

At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Highly adaptable and resourceful – you’ll need to be able to find ways to deliver excellent social media content during lockdown. 

Strategic and creative, with demonstrable experience using insights to drive social media success

Confident using Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other social mediums to drive engagement

Community management or customer service experience

Passionate about design and branding – you’re a Canva pro

You can work with multiple priorities and get it all done

You’re a stickler for detail and accuracy
