What to Do if Your Brown Hair Turns Brassy

Introducing our Brunette Brass Remover Kit!

There’s nothing more fabulous than a fresh colour, and contrastingly nothing less fabulous than that fresh colour turning brassy. Despite what you may have heard, it turns out that those with blonde hair aren’t the only ones who have to worry about brassy tones…brunettes, we’re looking at you! Nobody wants unexpected red or orange tones making their way into their mane, so here at EdwardsAndCo we’ve developed our Brunette Anti Brass kit to help prevent brassy brown, and to help reverse the damage if your brown hair has already become brassy.

So, check out the below for our top tips for getting the most out of your Brunette Anti Brass Kit:

Step 1.
Redken PH Bonder

The first product in our kit is the PH Bond Builder, this is an amazing product for highlighted hair as it helps restore your hair’s natural pH at home, repairing the bonds that are damaged during the lightening process. Apply once a week from root to tip on towel dried hair before going in with your shampoo and conditioner and let sit for at least 10 minutes.

Step 2.
Redken Brownlights Shampoo & Conditioner

Now for the fun part! Blondes practically can’t live without their purple shampoo, but they aren’t the only ones who can benefit from some intense toning. Brunettes need something specifically designed to help fix brassiness in brown hair, like a blue shampoo! We have opted for Redken Colour Extend Brownlights shampoo and conditioner for the kit. These sulfate-free products gently cleanse hair while depositing blue pigments that fight unwanted brassy and orange tones, leaving brunette colour looking cool, bright and healthy.

Step 3.
Christophe Robin Wheat Germ Mask

The final product is the Christophe Robin Wheat Germ Mask. Just because your hair isn’t blonde, doesn’t mean it isn’t damaged. Use this mask for 3-5 minutes after washing to protect your colour, while repairing and strengthening you hair.
